this supplies + 5 volts to - 5 volts. it has various uses. you can add it to whatever is controlling the CV of a VCA so that it doesn't go to 0 volts. you can patch it to a VCO's pitch input to make it go low enough to be an LFO. you can add it to the incoming audio signal in some circuits to create distortion. really comes in handy, and easy to build!
