this makes the FREQ knob sweep in a balanced manner instead of most of the action happening on the left side of the knob. i know, there is already a mod for this posted on the CGS site, but it's got an incorrect value listed (220K, they must be using a 1M pot instead, works the same but confusing if you followed the parts list/schematic!). and the other mods listed there i found unnecessary.
solder a 22k resistor between +VE and the lug on the FREQ knob where +VE was connected. that's it. simple.
